Accra, May 23, GNA - Kasly Health Industries, manufacturers of modern Chinese traditional medicine, has given 12 saloon cars to its outstanding workers in Ghana and Nigeria at a colourful ceremony in Accra.
The company also awarded 21 workers with motorbikes while others took home laptop computers. In all winners took home items worth 1.1 billion cedis.
The awards slated for the West Africa Division of Kasly went to the categories of fast developing distributors, special contributions, top speciality and local staff performance.
Ms Ama Busia, Member of Council of State, said awarding exemplary performance was one important factor that differentiated successful organisations from non-performing ones adding that such recognition brought out the best in people.
She praised the Company for making significant contribution towards the enhancement of the health of many Ghanaians and creating wealth for thousands of its workers.
Ms Busia noted that the Government shared the objectives of Kasly since bringing quality healthcare to the vast majority of the people was a priority.
"Government realizing that the actualization of these priorities can best be achieve through a strategic partnership with private sector, has worked tirelessly to make Ghana an attractive investment destination and it is refreshing to note that Kasly chose Ghana as its first investment destination in West Africa. Dr Bruce Dai, Managing Director, Kasly Ghana, said within the one year that the Company began operations in the country it had chalked a remarkable success.
"During the one year, more than 20 thousand people have joined the business and the brand had not only become firm in Ghana but it has also spread to a number of West African and East African countries", he said.
He said the success story of the Company in the country could better be attributed to the hard working spirit of the workers who, therefore, deserved to be awarded.
"Those who are to be awarded are the samples of the most outstanding ones in our business. They all have been hard working, dedicated, loyal and committed and deserved a pat on the back", he stated.
Kasly, which is known in international circles as Tasly, additionally specialises in five other areas such as scientific research, advertising, plantation, export and import and estate development.
