Staff of the Ho Teaching Hospital have been called to ensure that clients after patronizing their services, left the premises satisfied.

Dr John Tampouri, Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Hospital, said service abounds in all health facilities and staff must endeavor to make an improvement in every life they serve to make the facility the choice for clients.

He said this in a Christmas message at a thanksgiving service and festival of nine lessons and carols held at the Hospital on Wednesday.

“Some people don’t come for service, they come for satisfaction. Service is available everywhere but not satisfaction”, Dr Tampouri said.

The CEO said the Hospital has adopted the slogan: “Caring for everyone, learning from everyone”, to guide staff and that the slogan must have “meaning and effect” in the delivery of their mandate in the year 2020 and beyond.

He called on the staff to put away lazy attitudes and help meet the responsibilities that comes with the Hospital’s elevated status.

Dr Tampouri said management is working to surmount challenges of space for service delivery, office and residential accommodation, inadequate human resource, and technology.

He said inadequate transport logistics and the lack of a Board for the Hospital were also issues of concern to management.

The CEO expressed gratitude to staff both past and present for their “hard work, dedication and commitment, for which our clients have always been assured of the highest quality of care”.

Professor John Owusu Gyapong, Vice Chancellor of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), said the Hospital must endeavour to provide improved medical care to the public, adding that the University would continue to extend the needed support.

In attendance was Reverend Johnson Avulete, Deputy Volta Regional Minister, and Mr Prosper Pi-Bansah, Ho Municipal Chief Executive.

The nine lessons were delivered interspersed with carols performed by the Teaching Hospital’s choir, with prayers said for the nation and the Hospital.
