God's Coming Kingdom Foundation has paid the medical bills of some nursing mothers who were struggling to pay their bills at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.
The founder, based in Holland, Mr. Solomon Abronoma Nyarko, has, through his non-governmental organization, donated money to his team to cover the bills of these detained nursing mothers.
The foundation is currently under the supervision of Rebecca Kaaley.
During the donation, she bemoaned how nursing mothers, including their babies, recover from their sickness but are unable to foot their bills.
Rebecca Kaaley said the gesture forms part of the foundation's aim to reduce maternal mortality to meet the Sustainable Development Goal.
She added that the foundation is a non-profit organization with the mission of spreading the love of God by putting smiles on the faces of the needy and underprivileged in society through impactful social interventions and community development programs.
The principal nursing officer in charge of maternity ward A1 at the hospital, Akparibo Gertrude, speaking with journalists, appreciated the gesture of the NGO.
She, therefore, appealed to corporate institutions and philanthropists to come to the aid of other people who have been detained in the hospital.
"So, we are appealing to others to follow suit and intermittently come to the aid of poor mothers who struggle to settle their bills," she said.
Some of the beneficiary mothers were thankful to the God's Coming Kingdom Foundation team and the founder, Mr. Solomon Abronoma Nyarko, for their support.
The payment of medical bills is part of the foundation's responsibilities, and it's been carried out twice a year.
