Head of Department of Anatomy at the College of Health Sciences University of Ghana, Prof Fredrick Kwaku Addai has revealed that the regular consumption of natural cocoa as beverage prevents clinical malaria.

“I’m not saying that when you get malaria go and take cocoa but when you take the cocoa, you don’t get malaria. It is preventive,” he explained.

Prof Addai stated further that regular intake of natural cocoa has some phenomenal health benefits which improve eyesight, better skin tone, delay in greying of hair and also improves sexual reproductive performance.

He made this revelation at a public lecture of the Cocobod Senior Staff Association (COSSA) week celebration at the University of Ghana, where he spoke on the theme ‘Cocoa consumption: Business and health impact'.

According to the Professor of Anatomy, natural cocoa also keeps the flexibility of the blood vessels in humans and makes the brain works better.

“Most of the time we get cramps if you don’t do too much exercise, but if you are drinking cocoa your body gets the nutrients that are required to make your body work better,” he said.

“So when you add all together, your heart is working well and because of that, you are able to move your body and do things. Your brain is working better, your muscles are working better, your eyes are working better and of course, the one that most men, in particular, are excited about is the genitals. They work better because it is also blood that goes in there to give penial erection” he stressed.

Daily consumption of natural cocoa Prof Kwaku Addai says promotes frequent and copious urination which is good for the kidney and controls blood pressure.
