Twenty-five babies born at three health institutions

Winneba, Dec. 27, GNA - Twenty-five babies, made up of 16 boys and 9 girls were delivered at three health institutions in the Central Region during the Christmas.

The Principal Midwife, Ms Philomena Anan and Ms Ophelia Nkrumah, Staff Midwife, both at the Maternity Ward of the Winneba Government Hospital, told the Ghana News Agency that 2 boys and three girls were born on 25 December while 2 boys and one girl were delivered on Dec. 26. Miss Cecelia Odum, Principal Midwifery Officer of the Apam Catholic Hospital, said 5 boys and a girl were born on Christmas day but one of the boys died after delivery.

At the Kasoa Health Centre, Madam Monica Bosompim, Staff Nurse Midwife of the Centre, told the Ghana News Agency that 4 girls and 2 boys were delivered on December 25 while 5 boys were born on Boxing Day.
