Vodafone Ghana has launched “Season Five” of its award-winning television show, Healthline, to empower Ghanaians with quality healthcare.

The 13-episode series has started airing on UTV at 9pm on Mondays, with a repeated version on TV3 on Saturdays at 6:30pm.

A statement issued by Vodafone Ghana and copied to the Ghana News Agency said the programme would cover many topics, such as bones and joints, pregnancy, mental health, hypertension, diabetes and sexual health education.

It said it would also interact with some of Healthline’s past beneficiaries to find out how their lives have been impacted by the programme.

The statement indicated that the show would also recognise and acknowledge organizations and individuals who were driving awareness of health issues and quality healthcare in the communities.

“Healthline continues to define the essence of what we stand for as a company – to be committed to the communities in which we live and work” she said.

Speaking on the new season, Dr. Lorraine Baffour, a resident Healthline medical practitioner said, “This year’s season will focus on unearthing the various myths surrounding diseases, respond to questions from the general public, and touch the lives of friends, families, customers and the nation as a whole”.

The show, which originally aired for 52-minutes, has now been repackaged to air for 26-minutes on UTV and TV3.

Healthline, since 2011, has paid for and arranged both life-saving and life-changing surgeries for hundreds of deprived patients across Ghana.
