Winalite International donates to Ministry of Health

Accra, July 14, GNA - Management of Winalite International Company Limited Ghana (WICL) on Wednesday donated 10 boxes of 93Love Moon" Sanitary Pad (LMSP) and GH¢1,500 cash to the Ministry of Health to support this year's Cervical Cancer (CC) Conference in Ghana.

Mr Henry Cai De Lin, Managing Director, WICL said the sanitary pads had come as a preventive measure to CC caused by bacteria infection and that 60 per cent of the locally manufactured pads caused CC.

He said 83 per cent of women had the bacterial infection and the disease was mostly found around the womb.

Mr De Lin noted that LMSP could cure 99 per cent of bacterial and other infectious diseases.

Mrs Irene Danku-Songote, Distributing Manager of WICL said CC was the second cause of death in women and the product had Anion stick that move up to the womb through the vagina, which improved blood circulation and enhanced the immune system, eased pain and brought about comfort to women.

She said LMSP had come to prevent CC in women and could effectively restrict the growth and survival of bacteria and viruses in the body.

Mrs Danku-Songote noted that the pad activated metabolism, improved secretion and increased immunity.

In addition, they are effective in adjusting pressure, resisting bacteria, reducing inflammation, reducing odour and removing tiredness.

Mrs Marian A. Tackie, Director at Ministry of Health receiving the items said the Ministry was hosting the conference in partnership with Princess Nikky Foundation on Breast and Cervical Cancer to stop CC in Ghana.

She explained that the conference was to create awareness of CC caused in the womb therefore; women must undergo screening to help them detect the disease early before it caused any damage.
