Ho Technical University has appointed Francis Komla Ganyaglo as Acting Director of Public Affairs following the compulsory retirement of Emmanuel Wisdom Selase, on March 24, 2026.

Selase had served in the role in an acting capacity since 2022.

Ganyaglo, a Senior Assistant Registrar and currently the Alumni Relations Officer under the Directorate of Public Affairs, is expected to bring his extensive experience in marketing and administration to enhance the university’s corporate image and deepen stakeholder engagement.

His appointment marks a new phase for the Directorate as the university positions itself to strengthen its visibility and reputation within Ghana’s higher education space.

Profile of Francis K. Ganyaglo

Francis Komla Ganyaglo is an accomplished administrator, politician, lecturer, and entrepreneur with a strong academic and professional background in marketing and governance.

He holds a Higher National Diploma in Marketing from Ho Polytechnic, an Advanced Certificate (Level 2) from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from the University of Cape Coast.

He also earned a Commonwealth Executive MBA from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and an MPhil in Marketing from the University of Ghana Business School.

He is currently pursuing a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies (Public Policy and Social Change) at the University of Professional Studies, Accra.

Public Service and Professional Experience

Ganyaglo has held several high-profile public service roles, including:

Deputy Volta Regional Minister

Municipal Chief Executive for Kpando

Acting District Chief Executive for North Dayi

He currently serves as Senior Assistant Registrar and Alumni Relations Officer at Ho Technical University and as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Evangelical Presbyterian University College.

In addition, he is the Chief Executive Officer of multiple enterprises, a Fellow of the Civilian Institute of Democratic Administrators (Nigeria), and a Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (Ghana).

He is also a member of the NDC Council of Elders, where he serves as Secretary.

The university has congratulated Ganyaglo on his appointment and called on stakeholders to support him in his new role.
