Watch as burst water and sewage lines spark health scare in Tema

Residents of Tema have called for urgent intervention after a water pipeline and sewage line between Community 6 and Community 10 have reportedly created a serious public health hazard.

In a post shared on X on July 5, 2026, a concerned citizen said the stretch has remained in that terrible state for the past two decades without any action from the Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) or the Tema Development Corporation (TDC).

The post further stated that both the pipeline and the sewage lines have burst, resulting to clean water mixing with sewage.

He warned that the situation poses a serious health risks to residents.

The concerned citizen further expressed frustration over the prolonged inaction by the authorities despite the worsening situation.
