MoH announces recruitment for Medical and Dental officers

The Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the commencement of recruitment for Medical and Dental Officers, inviting qualified professionals to apply for available positions across selected health institutions in the country.

In a statement issued on July 2, 2026, the Ministry indicated that the exercise which targets the 36th batch of Medical Officers and Dentists who have completed their housemanship and have received verification from the Medical and Dental Council will begin on July 8, 2026.

“The recruitment process is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM,” the statement said.

According to the Ministry, the deadline for submission of applications is Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 6:00 PM.

“Applicants are advised to submit their applications before the deadline, as late submissions will not be considered,” it stated.

It urged applicants to carefully follow the instructions on the platform and select their preferred district of posting during the application process.

“The online portal will guide applicants through the necessary steps to complete their submissions,” it added.

The recruitment exercise covers vacancies under the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG), Ahmadiyya Health Services, and the Mental Health Authority.

The Ministry reiterated that the recruitment process is free of charge and cautioned applicants against fraudsters.

“The Ministry of Health wishes to emphasize that this process is completely free. Applicants should not make any payments to any individual or group claiming to facilitate placement,” the statement warned.

It further noted that members of the 34th and 35th batches who previously applied but did not report for duty may also be considered in the exercise, although such applicants would be limited to their original regions of posting, subject to available vacancies.
