Dr John Letsa, the Deputy Director of Clinical Care at the Regional Health Directorate, said qualified health personnel would be posted to the centre and appealed to people of the community to patronize it.

Mr Jongcheon Lee, the Director of External Affairs of the MPF, said the decision to set up a medical centre was to ensure improved health care in Ghana and Africa as a whole and that it has been pursuing that goal since it started its operations in Africa in 1993. He said meeting the medical needs of the people in the community and a well equipped medical centre was important to his organization and pledged the MPF' continued support in other areas to further strengthen the friendship between Ghana and Korea.
