The Church of Pentecost Men’s Ministry, Nungua District, has handed over a refurbished Out Patients Department (OPD) to the LEKMA Polyclinic in the Teshie-Nungua Municipality.

The men’s ministry supported the polyclinic in providing curtains, nets, slabs for the physically challenged, information desk and painting of the building at a cost of GH¢ 10,350.00.

Reverend Samuel Kwamena Bram, District Pastor, said the gesture was part of the church’s social commitment to mankind.

He said staff of the polyclinic, during a clean-up exercise in 2013 by the church, approached it to assist in the refurbishment of the OPD.

“The Men’s Ministry wants to use this opportunity to thank God for the strength to contribute their quota to the development of mankind in providing comfort for the sick,” he said.

Rev Bram appealed to management of the polyclinic to make good use of the facility by maintaining it for the benefit of the future generation.

Dr Leticia Asamani-Wiafi, Ledzekuku Municipal Director of Health Services, commended the ministry for the gesture as it had demonstrated a real mark of charity.

She said the polyclinic was built and handed over in 2012 by the assembly with support from the American Embassy and other philanthropists in the vicinity.

Dr Asomani-Wiafi lauded the staff of the polyclinic for their services and urged the public to appreciate their hard work.
