The Member of Parliament(MP) for Ellembelle, Mr. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah says his outfit will continue to revive all the health centers in the District to ensure efficient health care delivery to meet the health care needs of the people.

The MP reiterated that the health of the people was paramount to the overall development of the District and the nation at large.

Mr.Buah said this when he commissioned two((2) Community-based Health Planning Service(CHPS) compounds at separate events at Adubrim and Akropong in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region.

This brings to 25, the number of CHPS zones, Mr. Buah had lobbied the ENi oil company at Sanzule to provide communities in the oil and gas enclave and others around the forest belt.

Inaugurating the facilities the MP said such communities were in dire need of the health posts since they had to cover many kilometers before accessing medical attention at the Asasetre health center.

According to him, such communities produce the chunk of food especially ocoa to feed the rest of the District and as such needed to seek medical attention all the time.

Mr. Buah asked the people to put the politics aside and maintain the health facilities so that they could be converted into hospitals in future.

The District Director of Health services, Madam Elizabeth Corney, said the ENi Foundation built the facilities under the instrumentality of MP Buah.

She said the mobile clinic van,one of the major projects of the MP in 2009, had been of immense benefit to health care delivery in the area.

Madam Corney appealed to the communities to avoid littering the environment and ensure all forms of cleanliness in a bid to avoid diseases such as cholera, malaria and dysentery among others.

The Chief of Adubrim, Nana Assuah Miah and the Chief of Akropong, Nana Adu Kwaw thanked the MP for the numerous developmental projects he had sanctioned in the District and their communities since 2009.

According to the chiefs, it had not been easy for pregnant women to deliver in the past due to the absence of a health facility.

They said the MP is a symbol of hope and development and asked their subjects to put the politics aside and rally behind him.

'Nananom" used the occasion to appeal to government to focus her attention on the cocoa-growing roads in the Ellembelle District to boost cash crop production.
