Essipong, (W/R) Jan. 6 GNA - Visiting Aduana Stars played gamely and confidently to beat Sekondi Eleven Wise 2-1 in their Glo Premier League encounter at the Sekondi Sports Stadium at Essipong.
An early seventh minute goal by Samuel Asiedu for Aduana Stars set the tone for the match that forced Wise to redouble their efforts to carry the day on their home grounds.
From then on Wise played desperately in search of an equalizer but the visitors were on high alert to spoil all attempts made by Wise an it came as no surprise when Joseph Doe tactically scored the second goal for Aduana Stars in the 30th minute.
While the match was gathering momentum, Wise' Issah Alhassan managed to pull back a goal for his side in the 35th minute. When play resumed for the second half, both sides went into action but it was Wise who were on top of proceedings most of the time as they tried to make amends to carry the day to failed to break down the visitors defence.
