Aduana Stars split points with King Faisal

Kumasi, Nov. 8, GNA - King Faisal Babies were held to a goal less pulsating drawn game by Aduana Stars in the Glo premier league match played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The new entrants who appeared as under dogs started the match on a fast note and made series of incursions, but in a counter attack led by Enoch Ebo Ando found Thomas Avorgbedor fumbling with Ebo's cross in the 5th minute. Faisal from this stage took control of the game with perfect passes with shots from all angles but the defence of Aduana stood gallantly. In the 31st minute Ali Nurideen nearly hit the roof of the net for Aduana but his powerful header sailed over the bar two minutes later They continued to exert pressure on Faisal but the attack lacked bite up front.

Ebo Ando missed the target in the dying minute of the game to end the half.

On resumption, Aduana had an opportunity in the 54th minute but Nurideen with the goalkeeper Samuel Okyere beat shot wide in a goal mouth melee. Both teams brought in fresh limbs but the changes did not bring any differences into the game, which was watched by a sparse crowd. Aduana had clipped their defence making penetration difficult for Faisal determined to cling victory in the match. Injured Stephen Adams, goalkeeper of Aduana was replaced by Ransford Cudjo in the 88th minute.
