Accra, Aug 20, GNA 96 Heart of Lions Anthony Annan grabbed a brace in the opening game of the 2006/7 One Touch Premier League in their match against Power FC at the Kpando Sports Stadium to lead the scorers chart.
The left footer was the only player to have recorded a brace in the first week, which saw a total of 15 goals being scored in the first week.
Annan's exploits has therefore aided his side to capture a second place position in the day old competition.
The following scored a goal each in their respective league matches, Abeiku Gaisie (Tema Youth), David Azumah (Lions), Dominic Ediyah (Feyenoord), Emmanuel O. Kufour, Sabik Adams, Alex Asamoah and Alfred Arthur 96 (Ashgold), James Boadu (Arsenals), Samed Oppong (Faisal), George Mensah (Sportive), Clement Coffie and Richard Ampong (All Blacks), Agyeman Asamoah (Liberty).
The League will however go on a short break and resume on September 3.
This follows the participation of Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak in the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Champions League, which returns to action this week.
