Division one league match called off

Cape Coast, Sept.27, GNA - Football fans who thronged the Cape Coast sports stadium on Saturday to watch the Division One League match between Ebusua Dwarfs and Samreboi Samatex returned home disappointed when the match officials failed to turn up.

The two teams reported at the stadium at 2.30 pm starting with their warming up exercise but some time when there was no sign of the match officials the match was called off.

Mr Mathew Doe, Central Regional Chairman of the Regional Football Association after consultations with representatives of the two clubs called off the match and agreed the match be played at a later date. Spectators who had already bought tickets had their monies refunded to them.
