The Fabulous Boys got back to winning ways at the Baba Yara Stadium with a narrow win over Allstars.

Asante Kotoko went into the game with revenge on their mind having lost to the Wa-based club in the first round of the league.

The first half of the game ended barren with the attackers of Kotoko wasting a couple of decent opportunities.

The teeming fans gathered at the Stadium were frustrated by the lacklustre display of the red attackers combined with some poor decisions by the officiating officials, but all the frustrations would soon be forgotten when skipper Amos Frimpong leading by example headed in what would be the winning goal in the 67th minute from a Samuel Kyere freekick.

The win sends the Porcupine Warriors 2nd on the log just a point behind Allstars.

Another club who moved a point behind Allstars is Hearts Of Oaks. The Phobia Boys drew one all with Liberty Professionals in what was coach Sergio Traguil official debut on the bench of the Rainbow Club.

Cosmos Dauda gave Hearts a first half lead placing the ball in the net from a shaky assist courtesy the flamboyant Samudeen Ibrahim.

The Scientific Soccer Lads would equalise five minutes after recess through Bernard Arthur, who connected a cross from Latif Blessing.

The Liberty Professionals goal getter did let his team down with a 2nd yellow card resulting from a needless tackle on Robin Gnagne forcing his team to play the last 15 minutes with a man deficit, but the Phobias couldn't make the man advantage count.

The draw means Hearts are now tied on points with arch rivals Asante Kotoko.

Aduana made light works of Ebusua Dwarfs at the Dormaa Park.

Zakaria Mumuni whizzed his way through the Dwarfs defence; he tried to go past goalkeeper Frank Andoh, but the keeper brought him down giving away a penalty kick.

Yahaya Mohammed stepped up to effect the kick and he made no mistake increasing his goal hall to 12 in the season.

Few minutes to recess Zakaria Mumuni connected a long ball from Wahab Adams with a sweet volley to double the lead for the home side.

Samuel Adams put the game to bed in the 2nd half making it 3-0 for the Ogya Club.

The win ensured they are only two points adrift of the league leaders Allstars, who lost by a lone goal to Asante Kotoko.

At the Len Clay Stadium Shafiu Mumuni scored twice to help Ashanti Gold beat Techiman City by two unanswered goals.

In other games, Berekum Chelsea won by two goals to zero against Inter Allies. Captain Saddick Adams scored the first from a spot kick, and Nana Tei Horsu added the second.

Dreams FC won by the same scoreline at the Dawu Park. Philemon McCarthy and Eric Gawu scored the two goals in the 2nd half after Aaron Amoah had missed a first-half penalty.

Hasaacas will host Bechem United at the Essipong Stadium tomorrow.

Medeama SC's clash with WAFA has been postponed because of the former's involvement in the CAF Confederations Cup.

The Tarkwa Mauves will have their attackers to blame wasting tonnes of chances in their barren home draw against Algerian side M.O Bejaia.
