Hearts of Oak maintained their grip at the summit of the league table with a hard fought 1-0 victory over Yusif Basigi’s side at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Hearts of Oak played their first of two home games with-out their fans but the absence of their teeming fans meant nothing when Isaac Mensah took advantage of sloppy defending to plant home a shot into the net.
The goal was the perfect start for the Phobians who won against Berekum Chelsea in their previous game.
Kenechi Yatsuhashi made a tactical substitution introducing Foovi Aguidi for Eric Kumi who has seen his game slow down in the last couple of the games.
The first half lacked intensity but with Hearts of Oak a goal to the good it was Hasaacas who caused more problem and Doddo scored a goal in the 87th minute but the two lines men called him offside to the delight of the Hearts of Oak family.
The win means Hearts of Oak remain summit of the league table.
