Sekondi Hasaacas played one of their best games in the on-going GT Premier League to share honours with visiting Accra Hearts of Oak at the Sekondi Gyandu Park on Wednesday. The match ended 1-1 after a gruelling 90 minutes of action exhibited by both teams. Hasaacas kicked off and with determination to carry the day pinned the League leaders to their own half for the greater part of the exchanges but failed to utilise the chances that came their way. The home side kept probing for goals but it was not until the 30th minute that Albert Williams scored a classic goal for the opener. The Hearts attackers made up of Don Bortey, Lawrence Adjei, Solomon Okutu and over lapping defender, Dan Quaye worked over time in an effort to equalise but they could not find the net till the end of the first half.

In the second half, Hearts made two changes in the 60th and 75th minutes, as they brought on Mohammed Issa for Lawrence Adjei while Wisdom Agbeko replaced Adja Tetteh and the changes paid off a for them as they launched a raid in the goal area of Hasaacas. The defence of Hasaacas ably supported by keeper Michael Addo stood their grounds and gallantly prevented Hearts from getting an early goal. Hearts in one of the raids in the vital area of Hasaacas earned a corner kick and in a goal-mouth melee, one of the defensemen of Hasaacas handled the ball in the vital area. Dan Quaye made no mistake of the resultant spot kick to equalise for Hearts in the 87th minute of the game. Hearts led by their team Manager, Armaah Kwei before the match lodged a complaint with the match commissioner, Mr. Jibo Bortey for alleged harassment of their players and officials by supporters of Hasaacas.
