Sekondi Hasaacas restored their winning run with a narrow 1-0 win over Heart of Lions in the First Capital Plus Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
Emmanuel Ankobeah scored the solitary goal of the game in the 81st minute to help Hasaacas move closer to a top-four place.
This was a game entirely dominated by The Do Boys but they failed to turn their dominance into goals with experienced striker Fredrick Quayson missing a penalty.
Lions were hoping to gain a positive result from the game but were denied late in the game by George Owu. The former Ghana keeper produced a feline reflex to deny Sam Yeboah the equaliser in the last minute of the game.
Hasaacas could have gone ahead in the 23rd minute when they won a penalty but Quayson crashed his effort into the crossbar.
Despite the defeat, Lions still remain in second place with 31 points.
