Accra, June 29, GNA - Accra Hearts of Oak's premiership ambition has been pushed to the wire after they drew 1-1 with visiting Wa All Stars in their

rescheduled 26-Week Glo Premier League tie played at the Ohene Djan Stadium, Accra on Monday.

The game which was deferred for Monday due to heavy downpour on Sunday was scrappy in the beginning, but it was the Phobians who took the lead on the 40th minute mark through Douglas Nkrumah who defied an off-side trap to score his second goal this season.

Earlier, it was Hearets Mahadi Abubakar who amazingly missed from close range after he was put through by Francis Bossman and in an easy-to-score than to miss situation, the former Feyenood product surprisingly shot wide to the amazement of the fans.

From recess, All Stars exerted themselves and defied the reputation of the

Phobians as they pinned them down with zeal, reducing the League Leaders who

had led the race with 14 points after the first round to look loke an amateur side. With a goal beckoning with each move that All Stars made, Gafaru Nasiru

tore the Hearts defence into shreds, before pulling even for his side in early parts

of the second half. Nasiru picked the ball from the left flank, dribbled Karim Alhassan in defence

and went past Daniel Coleman before slotting beyond goalkeeper Philemon

McCarthey to draw parity. The visitors enjoyed the best of possession after the equalizer and though

Hearts had a few chances, it was All Stars who were all smiles but were unlucky

to go home with just a point as they deserved better. 2 All Blacks holds Kessben
