An injury time winner helped Hearts of Oak bring their three-game losing run to an end as they beat Real Tamale United 3-2 on Sunday in Accra.
Second half substitute Edward Affum scored the final goal to hand acting head coach Ben Adjei a winning start after taking charge of the Phobians last Wednesday following the sacking of C.K. Akonnor for non-performance.
The Phobians, who missed a 12th minute penalty had to rally back to win their second match in the Glo Premier League on a day when Laryea Kingston made a return to side after being suspended by the former coach.
Mahatma Otoo put Hearts of Oak in the lead after 16 minute but Hanan Giwah drew the visitors level before RTU made it 2-1 after the break through Salim Sakara.
The introduction of Kingston gave the Phobians a further boost as Iddrisu Moro equalised for Hearts from the spot in the 86th minute before Afum scored late on in injury time.
