Accra, Oct 15, GNA 96 Tuah Khamix sent Liberty Professionals cruising to the top bracket of the premiership standings with a 46th minute goal that signed defeat for Tema Youth in the sixth week of the One Touch encounter at the Dansoman Park on Sunday.
The win lifted the Dansoman lads from mid table into contention for a slot in Adeica next year.
The player made the most of a defensive mix up to punished the debutants who impressed with great composure all day. After a barren first half, Liberty resumed the second session in a fine fashion and got the goal that brought the best out of the visitors. Tema Youth reacted well after the goal and creative genius Banson Ekow was unlucky to have had his fine strike saved by Liberty's goalkeeper Yaw Berko on the 56th minute.
The skilful Ekow adjudged the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match after, taking a pass on his chest sent a beautiful half volley which Berko proved equal to.
Both teams fought to alter the scores put to no avail though Liberty finished the game with nine men after Baba Mumunie and Emmanuel Allen were shown the red cards for rough play.
