Kotoko strikes sponsorship deal with "+ One Consult"

Kumasi, March 12, GNA - Kumasi Asante Kotoko has clinched a four-year sponsorship deal with "+ One Sport Consult", a United States (US) based company. The company as part of the deal, on Friday, presented sets of jerseys, shin guards, hand gloves and other sports kits to the Club at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

"+ One Sport Consult" are involved in the management, organization and distribution of sports equipment and are represented in the country by Game Plan Consult. Kofi Poku, the Country representative, and Charles Crabbe, Communications Director of Game Plan, said the agreement is "a-win-win" agreement for both parties.

The agreement comes with monetary awards, supply of kits and support for youth development schemes of the Club, which is expected run till the end of 2013.

Mr Poku said the company is to aid Kotoko to significantly improve on its performance in both local and international competitions. Oheneba Adusei Poku, Akyempimhene of Kumasi, who received the items on behalf of the Asantehene, the Life Patron of the Club, welcomed the deal and said he was confident it would help inspire the players to lift up their game. Kotoko, he said, needed more of such co-operation and support to achieve its past glory. Present at the ceremony were members of the Interim Management Committee and fans of the Club.
