Kumasi, July 7, GNA - Kumasi Asante Kotoko FC have been tipped to win this year's Glo Premier League title in spite of trailing League leaders, Accra Hearts of Oak by two points.
Mr Desmond Otuo-Tuffour, a staunch supporter of Kotoko and a Sports Analyst, who made the prediction said with determination of purpose, Kotoko who were trailing Hearts by 14 points had managed through their resilience closed the gap to its current margin.
Mr Otuo-Tuffour who was speaking to the GNA Sports in Kumasi on Tuesday, commended the playing body and the technical team for keeping up the pressure on the Phobians and warned them to shun complacency in the remaining matches.
The sports analyst noted that now that the 'Porcupine Warriors' had closed the gap it was incumbent on the supporters not to put pressure on the team or sabotage the commitment of the playing body but rather motivate them to achieve the ultimate.
Mr Otuo-Tuffour was not happy with the way some of the supporters lashed the technical team and players following Kotoko's 3-3 drawn game against Liberty Professionals in Accra last Sunday, saying such behaviour could derail the focus of the team.
He explained that football was a game of uncertainties, noting that it was necessary that the supporters learn to cope with whatever results the Club achieves in its matches. 07 July 09
