Liberty Beat Real Sportive

Wed, 17 Nov 2004 Source: GNA

At the El-Wak Sports stadium in Accra, a 90th minute strike by substitute Shadriack Dodzie gave sinking Real Sportive the maximum points when they crossed swords with Liberty Professionals in their penultimate league game.
The seemingly off side goal which separated the two sides who sold out an uneventful game was a set-up from Ralph Onyani who raced to the Liberty back line before releasing the ball to Dodzie to slot home the match winner.
Though both teams played without urgency, it was the hometeam who had the laxity of playing better upfront where Richard Anderson, Samuel Ocran and Daniel Nertey created so much problems for their opponents at the rear.
Both sides occasionally made dangerous incursions towards goal, which turned fruitless until Dodzie's seemingly off side goal, that obviously gave them a temporal live line from the threat of relegation in the Premiership.
