Liberty pip Kpando Heart of Lions

Accra, Jan. 18, GNA - Dansoman-based Liberty Professionals on Sunday posted a lone goal victory over Kpando Heart of Lions in their Seventh Week Glo Premier League encounter at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra.

Midfielder Yakubu Seidu struck the only goal of the match on 21 minutes with a left footer that caught Lions goalie Stephen Ahorlu off guard.

Lions rallied back in search of the equalizer but their frontline made a mess of the chances that came their way. The visitors had the better of the exchanges in the second half but near misses from Hans Kwofie and substitutes Bright Nsiah and Tanko Mohamed ensured the score line remained unchanged till proceedings was brought to an end by FIFA referee Mercy Tagoe.
