Lions Hold Olympics

Ho, Nov. 18, GNA - Accra Great Olympics on Saturday drew goalless with visiting Kpando Heart of Lions in their Onetouch Premier League encounter at the Ho Sports Stadium. It was Heart of Lions who dominated most part of the first half but wasted several chances at goal.

Mensah Benjamin in goal for Olympics frustrated the Lions lads with spectacular saves in the eighth and 36 minutes and eventually emerged man of the match.

Olympics put up a plucky performance towards the end of the first half but ended up wasted most of the chances as their attackers shot off target to the disappointment of their fans.

Both teams went into the second half creating anxious moments for the fans but it was Olympics who had the clearest chance in the dying minutes but captain of the side, Winfred Dormon shot weakly into the waiting hands of Lions goalie, Stephen Ahorlu in a one-on-one situation. 18 Nov. 06
