According to our sources, Nortey, whose contribution helped keep King Faisal in the top division last season, takes over from Kwadwo Boateng who has left the club.
The versatile defender, who can also play in defensive midfield, was a member of the Ghana team that placed fourth at the 2007 FIFA Under 17 World Cup in Korea.
