Ho, Nov. 5, GNA - Accra Great Olympics on Sunday put up a splendid performance to beat Berekum Arsenals 2-1 in their Onetouch Premier League encounter at the Ho Sports Stadium.
Olympics took the game to their opponents immediately Class One referee T.K Aggrey whistled for the commencement of the game. Three minutes into the game, Emmanuel Clottey put Olympics in the lead when he connected a rebound from a Winfred Dormon shot. Cheered on by an enthusiastic crowd, Olympics raised the tempo of their attack, which saw Clottey coming on target again with the second goal in the 27th minute after controlling a long pass from teammate Emmanuel Ansong from outside the 18-yard box.
Arsenal's Eric Poku converted a spot kick two minutes later after he was brought down in the 18 yard box.
After the resumption of the second half the two teams tried to improve their game plan but were unable to convert the chances with each side keeping their opponents at bay till the final whistle.
