Accra, Aug 17.GNA- The Professional League Board (PLB) has rejected the decision of Accra Great Olympics to change the venue for their home league matches after adopting the Ho sports stadium.

Mr Kweku Ampim Darko, Deputy Secretary of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) said in a statement that the PLB cannot accept the change of venue in view of the limited time frame for the commencement of the league.

It said that the back-to-batan club, Olympics therefore have to stick by their earlier decision to play at the Ho Stadium since they took the decision on their own volition.

The statement has accordingly asked Kumasi Asante Kotoko who are scheduled to meet Olympics in the first week of the premiership to report at the Ho Stadium to honour the match.

Olympics, days before the start of the League, settled on the Ho Stadium since the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex in Accra, which was to serve as substitute for the under-renovation Ohene Djan Sports Stadium and the El-Wak Stadiums in Accra, were also not ready for competitive matches.

The Sports Complex is under some renovation exercise and is expected to be ready for the premiership before the close of the first round. Three premiership clubs; Olympics, Hearts of Oak and Power FC will use the Ho venue for the 2006/7 soccer league season.
