At the Tema Sports Stadium, Power F/C ended their chain of draws when they walloped Liberty Professionals 3-1 in their GT Premier League match.

Determined to carry the day, Power F/C mounted pressure on the Dansoman-based team right from the blast of the referee's whistle forcing their opponents to concede two corner-kicks in the seventh and eighth minutes but they were wasted. Power continued their pressure on the visitors and earned a penalty in the 11th minute.

Jonathan Abeiku scored from the resultant kick to give Power F/C the first goal.

Abeiku was on target again in the 35th minute when he headed home a free-kick expertly taken by Daniel Quao to give Power a 2 nil half time lead.

Kwabena Yaro against the run of play netted the third goal for Power in the 68th minute before Mustapha Essuman of Liberty scored a consolation goal for his side through a penalty in the 88th minute. Daniel Quao of Power won the Best Player award.
