Accra Hearts of Oak's struggle in the Premiership continued with the team relinquishing a first half lead to draw one all with Tema Youth at the Ohene Djan Stadium, Accra on Sunday.

The defending league champions did not show any difference from their previous outings since the competition commenced seven weeks ago. Hearts remained the weaker side even with a numerical advantage after the visitors lost Sakyi Quaye through two yellow cards later in the game and their 35th minute lead masterminded by Francis Bossman. Bossman sent Hearts ahead from the spot after progressing Ekow Ghansah was fouled in the box 35 minutes into the game.

The lead gave the Phobians and their following some confidence as they managed to find their tempo and troubled Tema Youth with several invasions but lacked the finishing power when it mattered most. In one of their moves, Joseph Tekyi Mensah almost had his effort rewarded when he initiated a solo move that gave birth to a long range shot that only missed target slightly with the half time almost due. Tema Youth technically regrouped as the stronger side with Wilson Andoh making a hero out of Hearts' goalkeeper, Mohammed Saani on a one-on-one situation that could have fetched the equalizer for his side. With their hard work doubling by the second and Hearts growing vulnerable with every move, Ekow Benson ensured that Tema Youth went home with a point with a fine long range shot that kissed the net to cancel the Phobian lead and shatter their dream of carrying the day in the 75th minute.

Try as Hearts did they could not penetrate the solid defence of the visitors as their attackers continued to mess up chances till the final whistle.
