An 88th minute goal scored by Richard Annang enabled Tema Youth to beat Real Sportive 1-0 in their local derby at the Tema Sports Stadium. Tema Youth's Faisal Sulemana who was well placed to score was brought down by Samuel Hanson in the penalty box and Annang scored from the penalty spot.
Sportive dominated play but failed to score with Eric Owusu messing up a glorious chance just after 10 minutes. Tema Youth soaked up the incessant pressure from their opponents to ensure the half time ended goalless.
Tema Youth resumed the second half the better side and almost got the opener through Faisal whose effort on the 70th minute missed target. The visitors had another chance two minutes on but Edward Affum proved wasteful in-front of goal.
