As the season reaches the halfway stage, many teams are looking at their position as a base for the rest of the Glo Premier League season.

But for some, though the table gives a true refection of a team's run, they might not see their position on the standings as one of under-achievement.

Wa All Stars who have been kept out of the relegation zone courtesy, the head-to-head rule will be determined to stay above the drop zone when they travel to meet Heart of Lions on Saturday in Kpando in the first fixture of the last round of matches for the first round.

On Sunday, six matches will kick off at 15:00GMT and that will prove very crucial in deciding who finishes the mid-season on top and who will be sitting in the bottom three.

Medeama are favourites to hold onto top spot come the start of the second round as they are tipped to beat Tema Youth at the T&A Park.

At the Agyemang Badu Park, second-placed Aduana will be keeping their sights at the top as they engage Ebusua Dwarfs.

The pressure is on coach Yusif Abubakar to turn around Berekum Chelsea's poor run of two consecutive defeats into a win. Chelsea, sitting third, travel to the Len Clay Stadium to face AshantiGold.

Amidaus Professionals, who will be missing inspirational attacker, Yahaya Mohammed following a groin injury will be at home at the Tema Stadium to bottom side, Real Tamale United.

Relegation candidates, Berekum Arsenals will attempt to claim all three points when New Edubiase arrives for their match at the Golden City Park.

And surprise relegation contenders for now, Hearts of Oak will have to dig deep if they are to avoid finishing the halfway stage in the drop zone.

Winless in their last six meetings, the Phobians, face a difficult opposition in King Faisal when both sides meet at the Baba Yara Stadium.

A win could possibly lift David Duncan's charges from the bottom three but they will have to dread defeat as Faisal will be a rather tough side to beat.

The last fixture on Wednesday will see champions, Asante Kotoko attempt to impress.

Though unconvincing, the Porcupine Warriors still find themselves in the mix for the title again. The Porcupine Warriors, four points off the top will play Liberty Professionals at the Accra Sports Stadium.
