One of the World's and Ghana's biggest rivals prepare for the first of many engagements of the 'Super Clash' this Sunday in the Glo Premier League.

After a short international break, the first of many explosive battles involving Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko takes centre stage and the result could set a marker for the season ahead.

The top of the table fixture dominates the entire fixture list as Kotoko lead their rivals, Hearts by just a point after six matches.

Sunday's match at the Accra Sports Stadium which kicks off at 15:00GMT has generated the usual pre-match talk, rumour and prediction from both camps. The game can be seen live on Metro TV/SuperSport.

Other games in the competition are worth three points but this is bigger than that.

Hearts will be seeking to overcome two consecutive defeats going into this battle as they aim to sweep past Kotoko to the summit again and give their centenary year celebrations a further boost.

An indication of how serious Kotoko are taking the game is they have kept their players from the media spotlight ahead of their Saturday afternoon arrival in Accra and expect Hearts to rise to the occasion.

There two sides will meet twice in the league but who ever wins the first battle would not only be three points richer but hold onto the top spot and have a feel-good factor in their camp.

A day before the 'Super Clash', Mighty Jets will host Wa All Stars to the Accra Sports Stadium in a game that will be live on Metro TV. A win for All Stars could see them top the standings before the traditional giants get to play.

Ebusua Dwarfs, sitting third on the log make the short journey to the Sekondi Sports Stadium to play last from bottom, Wassaman United.

Another big game on Sunday is the game at the Gyemfis Park where New Edubiase welcome an improving Berekum Chelsea.

Heart of Lions will host Liberty Professionals at the Kpando Park with Medeama playing away to bottom-placed, Bechem, at the Bechem Park.

The Golden City Park will host the regional derby between Berekum Arsenal and Aduana Stars.

AshantiGold will be at home to Tema Youth at the Len Clay Stadium to wrap up a busy weekend of match-day-7 footballing action.
