Wa, (U/W) June 15, GNA - Tema Real Sportive put up a splendid performance to hold Wa All Stars to a goalless drawn game in their 25 Week Onetouch Premier League match at the Wa Sports Stadium on Sunday. The Tema lads who showed determination to carry the day, matched All Stars boot for boot in all the departments of the game as they made several incursions and make mince meat of the home advantage of the Wa lads as they came closer to scoring but poor finishing denied them of any goal.

All Stars nearly took the lead in the seventh minute when after they got a corner kick, the ball was floated into the 18-yard box of Sportive but the resultant header narrowly missed the post. All Stars Kwabena Dodzi threatened to score with a free kick in the ninth minute but goalkeeper Teiko Ben of Sportive struggled to palm away the ball to corner but the resultant kick was wasted. The home team again came close to scoring in the 17th and 36th minutes respectively but Dodzi and Daniel Bamfoh wasted the chances to end the first half.

Back from the recess the Wa lads took the game to Sportive but their defence stood resolute and thwarted all their efforts at goal. In the 57th minute All Stars got another chance to take the lead but while the ball was almost entering the net, a defender of Sportive scooped the ball to safety to the admiration of the supporters. The game from thereon was tensed as All Stars pinned their opponents playing virtually in Sportive half but good goalkeeping and defensive network by the Tema boys denied the homesters any goal before referee Yaw Ametepe from Sunyani whistled for the end of proceedings. 15 June 08
