A statement issued by the Association on Monday signed by the assistant secretary, Mr Andrew Atta-Assan, said that their action has become necessary because of the recent cases of hooliganism and assault on referees appointed to officiate matches at some of the League centres. Meanwhile, Mr Ayi Danquah, the Vice Chairman of the Central Region Football Association has appealed to the executives of the Clubs to educate their supporters to comport themselves during League matches.
