Cape Coast, Feb 18, GNA - Tema Real Sportive played a spectacular game to beat high flying Kpando Heart of lions 2-1 in the Onetouch Premier League match at the cape Coast Robert Mensah Sport Stadium on Sunday.
Sportive who were playing at their newly adopted home grounds as the host were the first to attack from the onset and scored the opener through former Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker, Frank Osei in the 17th minute.
The home team continued to probe for more goals and in the 26th minute, Osei who played a great game raised his team's tally to 2-0. Lions came into the picture from the 30th minute mark and following a combination of passes initiated from the right frank, the visitors reduced the tally when Osei Banahene slotted in the ball in the 41st minute.
Sekondi, Feb. 18, GNA - Sekondi Hasaacas beat visiting Dansoman-based Liberty Professionals 3-1 in their Onetouch Premier League match played at the Sekondi Gyandu Park on Sunday. Hasaacas stretched Liberty with sharp passes and aggressive moves soon after kick-off but found it difficult to put the visitors on the carpet.
They continued to ride high but had to wait until the 12th minute when Isaac Donkoh blasted a shot into the net of Liberty to register the first goal.
Liberty did not give up hope and pressed for an equaliser even though Hasaacas were up in arms against them.
In the 22nd minute, Hasaacas were awarded a penalty and Samuel Ellis beautifully converted into the net of Liberty for the second goal. Liberty who seemed unperturbed renewed their attacking machinery in an effort to square up the score before the end of the first half but their attacks proved abortive.
In the 46th minute, Daniel Acquaye of Hasaacas however mistakenly headed the ball into his own net to bring the scores to 2-1. As the match gathered momentum both sides ventured for goals with the pattern going the same way for greater part of the second half. In the 88th minute, Hasaacas Daniel Acquaye converted a free kick straight into the Liberty net to bring the final scores to 3-1 in favour of Hasaacas.
