Essipong, (W/R) Jan. 3, GNA - Obuasi Ashgold on Sunday beat Sekondi Hasaacas 2-1 in their Glo Premier League match played at the Sekondi Sports Stadium at Essipong.
It was, however, Hasaacas were on top of proceedings before Adoquaye Addo scored a surprise goal for Ashgold in the 13th minute. The goal unsettled Hasaacas but they soon back to their usual good form and pressed for an equalizer but Ashgold maintained their control and launched an attack for Mohammed Aminu to score the second goal for the visitors in the 40th minute.
Back from recess, Hasaacas resumed as they attacked from all angles but it was not until the 75th minute that David Annas was able to pull back a goal for the home side.
Hasaacas kept probing for goals but Ashgold defended gallantly and occasionally counter attacked but there were no more goals until the final whistle. 03 Jan. 10
