Sun, 4 May 2008 Source: GNA

Wa, May 4, GNA - A 70th minute strike by Wa All Stars striker Daniel Bomfah earned them the three maximum points in their Premier League match against Accra Hearts of Oak played at the Wa Stadium on Sunday. Bomfah ran swiftly into the Hearts vital area to receive a cross from the right flank and slammed the ball into the net leaving Goalkeeper Lord Quartey of Hearts bewildered. Hearts had dominated the first half with crisp inter-positional passes keeping the ball on the turf and completely seized the mid-field. However, stalwart defending by All Stars defence men pivoted around Godfrey Yeboah, formerly of Asante Kotoko, made it impossible for Hearts to convert their dominance into goals. When Referee T.K. Aggrey of Tarkwa blew his whistle to end the game, All Stars supporters broke into wild jubilation and merry-making.
