Wa All Stars pip visiting Berekum Arsenal

Wa, July 6, GNA - Wa All Stars ensured they beat visiting Berekum Arsenal by a lone goal in the 30th Week of the Onetouch Premier League match played at the Wa Sports Stadium on Sunday. The game was started on a fast note with the two teams showing their determination to carry the day but it was All Stars who were the better side in the first half.

They created several goal scoring chances but the strikers wasted all of them to the chagrin of their numerous supporters who filled the stands at the stadium to cheer them on to victory. The second half which was played with the rains pouring that made ball control difficult, but it was All Stars who benefited from the situation as they managed to score the lone goal in the 85th minute through right winger Issa Salifu in a goalmouth melee.

Inspired by the goal All Stars from then increased the tempo of the game creating many scoring chances but they failed to utilize any of them till referee Kwame Nsiah Bafo from Kumasi brought proceedings to a end.
