2024 Elections: Ghanaians must sack Jean Mensa and her deputies – Janet Nabla after disqualification
Disqualified independent presidential candidate Janet Nabla has expressed sadness and disappointment over her disqualification from contesting in the 2024 presidential election, accusing the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) of unfairness and a lack of transparency.
Nabla called on Ghanaians to ensure that the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa, and her subordinates are removed from office, claiming they lack the competence to conduct the 2024 General Elections.
“I am sad. Today is a sad day for the people of Ghana. The Electoral Commission is one of the organizations that, I think, the time has come for Ghanaians to come together to campaign and make sure that we remove all those in the EC; because these are people who are not just, they are not truthful, they are not transparent,” she said in an interview with 3FM following her disqualification.
Out of 24 presidential candidates who filed nomination forms to contest the 2024 general elections, 11 candidates, including Ms. Nabla, have been disqualified.
