Eastern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Jeff Konadu Addo presented the items
In a generous display of support for the Muslim community, the Eastern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon. Jeff Konadu Addo, made a presentation of donations on behalf of the NPP Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. The donation, which consists of 500 bags of cement and a cash amount of GHS 50,000, was given to the District Chief Imam of Lower Manya Krobo to assist in the renovation of their mosque.
Chairman Jeff, representing Dr. Bawumia, handed over the materials and funds in a ceremony attended by leaders of the Muslim community in Lower Manya Krobo. The donation is expected to significantly contribute to the ongoing efforts to restore the mosque, which plays a central role in the religious and community life of the area.
Speaking on behalf of Dr. Bawumia, Chairman Jeff emphasized the NPP Presidential Candidate's unwavering support for religious institutions and his commitment to fostering unity across all communities.
"Dr. Bawumia recognizes the importance of places of worship and is dedicated to ensuring that every community, regardless of religious affiliation, has the necessary support to develop and thrive," he stated during the presentation.
The District Chief Imam, on behalf of the Muslim community, expressed deep gratitude to Dr. Bawumia for his generosity, and to Chairman Jeff for making the presentation. He noted that the donation would greatly aid in improving the mosque's structure, providing a better space for prayer and community gatherings.
