In the heart of Yilo Krobo, Lawyer Charles Owusu Juanah’s voice echoed with passion and determination as he addressed a group of electoral area coordinators during a critical meeting aimed at galvanizing grassroots support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

This gathering, which took place after a larger event, was attended by notable figures, including Mr. Eric Tetteh, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the area, and the tireless Constituency Executive Committee led by Chairman Alhaji Abubakar Teye.

Lawyer Charles Juanah, a prominent legal practitioner and staunch advocate of the NPP, seized the moment to educate the coordinators on their pivotal roles.

He emphasized that leadership at the electoral level is not just about holding a title but about being a beacon of information and motivation for their teams.

"The coordinators should be up and doing. Your polling station officers should see the leadership in you at the electoral area," he said.

Recognizing the challenges faced by these coordinators, Lawyer Juanah didn't shy away from addressing the practicalities of their work.

He acknowledged the need for resources and tools to effectively campaign in their respective areas.

"You need the tools to campaign with," he said, stressing the importance of being well-informed to counter the misinformation and propaganda spread by the

opposition.

He was particularly candid about the threat posed by the National Democratic Congress (NDC), which he accused of using deceit to sway voters in rural areas.

"The NDC is going around in the villages with lies and propaganda. Campaigning isn’t about slogans; it’s serious business. We can’t afford to lose power to the NDC to mess the economy up as they usually do," he said.

Lawyer Juanah’s message was clear: the NPP's success in the upcoming elections hinges on the hard work and dedication of grassroots leaders like the Electoral Area Coordinators.

He urged them not to be swayed by the negative narratives circulating on social media, particularly the false accusations against the party's leadership.

"The NPP is the only party that has the well-being of the Ghanaian people at heart. You can only be proud as a coordinator in your electoral area when the NPP remains in government."

In a pointed critique of the NDC’s previous administration, the astute legal practitioner highlighted the stark differences between the two parties.

He reminded the coordinators of the economic turmoil and energy crises under the NDC, contrasting it with the NPP’s transformative policies like Free SHS, which

have benefitted countless young Ghanaians.

"You need to campaign to tell them what the NPP has done for them. Let them know the need to retain the NPP in governance," he said.

He also addressed the unique challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the Ukraine war, explaining their impact on Ghana’s economy and dismissing claims that the NPP’s leadership is to blame.

Instead, he emphasized that the NDC’s track record of economic mismanagement is a greater threat.

"Whenever NDC uses lies and propaganda to win power, they leave us in severe economic distress," he said.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Eric Tetteh, echoed Lawyer Juanah's sentiments, expressing gratitude for his guidance and requesting his continued support for the Yilo Krobo Constituency.

The meeting concluded with the coordinators expressing their renewed commitment to the NPP’s cause, bolstered by Lawyer Juanah’s rallying cry.

Alhaji Abubakar Teye thanked Lawyer Charles Juanah and his team and acknowledged their gratitude for the visit and promised to implement the words communicated.

The session didn’t end there.

Charles Juanah continued his engagement with a closed-door meeting with leadership and members of Friends of Bawumia-08, where they discussed their challenges, including financial constraints and the need for better transportation to reach remote areas.

Lawyer Juanah, in his characteristic generosity, pledged to advocate for their needs at the national level, further solidifying their resolve to campaign vigorously.

In a final strategic meeting with the Constituency Executive Committee, plans were laid to secure an unprecedented victory for the NPP in Yilo Krobo; both in the presidential and parliamentary elections.

The sense of purpose was palpable, with every participant leaving the meeting with a heightened sense of responsibility.

Charles Owusu Juanah’s visit to Yilo Krobo was more than just a motivational speech; it was a clarion call to action.

His words resonated with the coordinators, who now carry the torch of the NPP’s

campaign deep into their communities, armed with the truth and a commitment to ensuring that the party retains power come December 7, 2024.

The message was clear: the future of Ghana rests in their hands, and they cannot afford to fail.
