Independent parliamentary candidate for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, has explained why the Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central Constituency and Deputy Minister for the Interior, Naana Eyiah Quansah, snubbed him at a public event.
The incident occurred during a community event where both political figures were present. As the two crossed paths, Naana Eyiah Quansah appeared to deliberately avoid any interaction with A Plus, despite his attempts to shake hands with her.
During his appearance on Onua TV on August 30, 2024, A Plus mentioned that the MP claimed he had said something that displeased her, hence her refusal to shake hands with him.
“A lot of people walk with emotions, but one thing you need to have in this kind of job is emotional intelligence. This work requires a strong heart; if you don’t have it, you can’t do it.
“The woman said I had said something against her that she didn’t like, which is why she refused to shake hands with me, but it is normal.
“And in this kind of work, if you go by that tangent, you will suffer because every day people will say all sorts of things about you,” he said.
A Plus added that because the MP is female, her emotions are high, and she needs emotional intelligence.
