North Tongu Member of Parliament, Okudzeto Ablakwa, has set sights on garnering 94% of the ballot to be cast on December 7, 2024.
He made this ambitious claim when he filed his nomination to contest for the Member of Parliament position in the December 7 elections.
The percentage, according to him, is for both the presidential and parliamentary elections.
The Legislator also announced his decision to set aside GHS100,000.00 emergency rent support for all victims of the VRA Dam spillage in order to secure better accommodation for the victims.
He indicated that the fund will target female victims and will be free and non-refundable.

My 2024 Parliamentary Nomination has been successfully filed with the Electoral Commission in my beloved North Tongu.
I am profoundly grateful to my dearest constituents for defying the rains and walking with me to the EC’s office.
But of course, under the umbrella we are safe with all weather conditions.
In 2020, North Tongu secured the widest victory margin in the entire country — we are determined to break our own record with Operation 94% in 2024 for John Mahama & Togbe Worgbedzi.
Today, I also launched a North Tongu MP’s GHS100,000.00 emergency rent support fund to assist VRA spillage victims still languishing in tents find decent rental accommodation as we continue to fearlessly and justifiably advocate for their permanent resettlement.
The fund will prioritize female applicants and it shall be totally free and non refundable.
My immediate priority is to ensure that all VRA spillage victims are permanently resettled and fully compensated. I shall not rest until the last victim is adequately catered for.
Additionally, diligent parliamentary oversight shall remain our hallmark.
I am particularly thankful to our NDC Women’s Wing led by the outstanding Victoria Doe for organizing today’s event and leading us to present my nomination forms.
We shall work very hard and smart to create a brighter and empowered North Tongu.
God bless you all.
