Abronye reacts to disciplinary summons by NPP

The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, widely known as Abronye DC, has expressed his readiness to appear before the party's National Disciplinary Committee.

In a statement dated September 30, 2025, he indicated his willingness to provide a detailed account of what he described as the “Antichrist actions and inactions” of aspiring flagbearer and former Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, which he said has “undermined the cohesion and integrity” of the party.

“My attention has been drawn to a social media communiqué issued by our great Party and duly signed by the General Secretary, Lawyer Justin Frimpong Kodua, inviting me to appear before the Party’s National Disciplinary Committee.

“I hereby write to indicate my full preparedness and willingness to appear before the Committee to comprehensively lay bare and substantiate the antichrist actions and inactions of Hon Kennedy Agyapong," it noted.

He further called for transparency in the proceedings, proposing that the sittings of the committee “be conducted openly and broadcast live, so that the rank and file of our noble party may have the opportunity to witness, at first hand, the manifest antichrist posture and conduct of Hon Kennedy Agyapong.”

The General Secretary of the party, Justin Kodua Frimpong, has petitioned the party’s National Disciplinary Committee to investigate alleged misconduct by Kwame Baffoe.
