Citizens of the Abuakwa North Constituency in the Eastern Region have voiced their intention to vote for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming elections, citing years of unmet promises and lack of development under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) since 2000.
Expressing their frustration, the residents emphasized that despite their longstanding support for the NPP, they have seen little to no progress in the constituency. They noted that basic infrastructure, such as roads, remains in poor condition, while access to essential services and amenities remains a challenge. High poverty levels, they added, have continued to impact their community, intensifying their disappointment with the current administration.
The constituents recalled several promises made by the NPP during past campaigns, claiming that these pledges have yet to materialize, leading them to question the party’s commitment to their welfare. "We have supported the NPP for years, but we feel neglected," one resident shared, echoing the sentiments of many in the community.
Believing that a change is needed, the citizens expressed hope that the NDC will address their concerns and bring the development they seek. They are urging all residents of Abuakwa North to join them in supporting the NDC, seeing it as the best path toward meaningful improvement in their constituency.
